Best of 2010 : Happy New Year from WPT !
Yes, we haven’t posted in a very long time. No, we won’t make excuses. What I can do however is give you guys what is in my opinion the best of 2010. Without a particular order, here they are.
————————————————————————————————————————————
HOUSE. I can’t really describe this one, all I can say is that I ‘feel’ it. So press play, and ‘feel’ it as well !
————————————————————————————————————————————
HOUSE. Thanks to Yovan again for making me discover this track through one of his promo CDs, ‘Kissed by the Sun’ !
————————————————————————————————————————————
PROGRESSIVE. Nothing says “welcome to the jungle” better than this track. Cirez D (aka Pryda aka Eric Prydz), one of the best tracks to drive on.
————————————————————————————————————————————
PROGRESSIVE. Tim Berg’s Bromance. There have been MANY remixes of this track, most of them commercial crap bringing down the true value of the song. Victor Varga’s remix however made the track so much better, in my opinion. Enjoy.
————————————————————————————————————————————
TRANCE / PROGRESSIVE. Dinka’s initial ‘Elements’ release came out in November 2009, but this remix came along with another release in February 2010. If you love the sax, you’re gonna love this one.
————————————————————————————————————————————
TRANCE. The most versatile DJ that I know, and easily one of my favorites: Sander van Doorn, presenting himself under a new alias, ‘Purple Haze’. Thanks again to TranceOnJeroen for the amazing video to accompany this amazing song.
————————————————————————————————————————————
TRANCE. This track is perhaps the reason Ali Wilson went from an underground talented to a world renown producer. Whether he was inspired by Avatar or not, this track sends me on Pandora everytime I listen to it.
————————————————————————————————————————————
TRANCE. For all you uplifting trance fans out there, this should uplift you just fine !
————————————————————————————————————————————
TRANCE. I’m not the biggest fan of Armin’s radio show, but this had to be included. Celebrating 450 episodes of “A State of Trance”, here is the theme winner, Sebastian Brandt’s ‘450’. Listening to it reminds me the amazing night @ the Guvernment in Toronto on April 1st.
————————————————————————————————————————————
TRANCE. Im not the biggest fan of vocals neither, especially male vocals. But yet again, there are exceptions. Although there’s a ‘commercial’ feel to this track, it’s full of life and positive energy: Jump.
————————————————————————————————————————————
TRANCE. My favorite release of 2010 comes from Taras Bazeev. Which? That’s a tough one… Lugaru, Artificial Happiness, Spain, Paris, Error of Time… All these tracks are amazing, feel free to search them on youtube. Taras is probably the best producer of 2010, and it’s a real shame that he’s not known more than he is.
————————————————————————————————————————————
PROGRESSIVE. Some people don’t like trance because it’s too fast, too heavy. This one is for all you people. Carl Craig mo’fucker !

I guess that’s about it. We would like to wish you all a Happy New Year, filled with happiness, health and lots, lotsa great music. See you all in 2011, and hopefully we’ll be posting more !!
