Never Mind the Bollocks… here’s Paul Oakenfold

Nowadays with so many radio shows and artists on the scene, sometimes it gets discouraging looking for good tracks that are worth the time to have a listen to. Why? Because there are too many trash songs out there. Seriously, why release something when you know the track lacks depth and detail? Anyways, this isn’t a rant on the current health of the Trance community but more of an introduction to one of the best compilation I’ve hear so far. Paul Oakenfold’s “Never Mind the Bollocks” has renewed my faith in Trance and informed me that small time artists devoted to the sound are still around. I thoroughly enjoyed 80% of the track, not getting bored at all on the first listen. You know how some tracks require several listen to get to a certain appreciation? Well not these ones. Many smooth fast pumping bassline beating at 137 to 140bpm gets the heart racing and the head boppin. Paul Oakenfold (or his team) has seriously hand picked out la crème de la crème of all their sample tracks. Good job

One might argue that some of these tracks are more “Trouse” then “Trance”. Well you know what? It’s still awesome. Music evolves and no genre stays the same over the course of time. Shut the fuck up, enjoy the music and NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS.

By the way, the tracklist is massive. Just the unmixed version there’s 2 CD’s… and yes there is a remixed version in which I didn’t even had a chance to start listening to.
