UK trance: Sugar and Gold !

My last post was about UK trance DJs… that made me realize that there are much more that I did not know myself were from the United Kingdom. So here’s 2 more for you !

———————————————————————————

Sophie Suger

Sophie Sugar‘s first productions go back to 2004/2005 with titles such as ‘Isis’ and ‘Call of Tomorrow’, which was later on remixed by John O’Callaghan. She came back in 2007 with another hit, ‘Fallen Too Far’, which really opened her the door to the trance world as she got signed by Armada records. Several tracks followed, her last release, ‘Together’.

Labeled as ‘The First Lady of Trance’ by Armin van Buuren, Sophie Sugar just started her own radio show last August, called Symphony. It airs every 3rd Friday at 6pm central eastern time on di.fm.

Label: Armada

———————————————————————————Ben Gold

Ben Gold was only 18 years of age when he graced the Camden Palace decks with his enviable style of high octane energy behind the decks. He would’ve probably done that earlier if it wasn’t for the legal age limit. With productions regularly airing on BBC Radio 1, Galaxy, leading radio shows such as Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance or Above and Beyond’s Trance Around the World, Ben Gold has a fruitful career in front of him at the age of only 25. This guy could be my big brother !

Note that Claudia Cazacu’s Earproff (previous post) is also remixed by Ben Gold.

Label: Discover, Musical Madness, Kill The Lights

Enjoy,
